The Therapy Parlour offers online and telephone therapy sessions, providing flexible and accessible support from the comfort of your own home.
Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, relationship difficulties, addiction, bereavement, or loss? You may be feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to turn. Therapy can offer you the opportunity to explore what is going on for you in a safe and confidential space.
At The Therapy Parlour, you will be gently supported to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, without judgement. We aim to help you develop and build coping strategies and work towards meaningful change.
You will work with a practitioner who is a BACP-registered counsellor/psychotherapist and a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and specialist experience delivering trauma-focused CBT within the charity sector, supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, and complex life difficulties.
Alongside counselling and psychotherapy, CBT offers a structured, collaborative approach that helps you understand the links between your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours. When appropriate, trauma-focused CBT may be used to help process traumatic experiences safely, reduce ongoing symptoms, and update unhelpful beliefs that have developed following trauma.
The approach and length of therapy will always be tailored to your individual needs. Some clients prefer short-term, goal-focused therapy, while others benefit from longer-term, exploratory work. This can be discussed together during your initial assessment.
